Calsak Donation Drive 2024
We at Calsak Corporation believe that it is important to help those in need, as well as enriching our community. Through the philanthropic efforts of our employees and all of our partners, including customers, suppliers and vendors, Calsak Corporation has successfully completed our inaugural donation drive. We could not have done this without everyone’s generous support, and applaud and thank each and every person for their efforts into ensuring that our first ever drive was a successful one.
Calsak Corporation created an employee committee to plan, coordinate and initiate this drive. Countless organizations require help and assistance, and we wish we could provide assistance to all of them. This year, our committee decided to support Rainbow Services of Los Angeles, CA. Rainbow Services was established over 40 years ago, and is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Rainbow Services’ truly spoke to our committee’s desire to help victims of domestic violence, primarily women and children, who at no fault of their own, are faced with the daunting task of starting over, with perhaps little to no resources.
At Rainbow Services (“Rainbow”), our mission is to end the cycle of domestic violence. We are committed to helping all survivors of DV, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, number of children, citizenship status, or any characteristic that might limit their access to safety and assistance.
With the support and generosity of all of our partners, we were able to collect numerous cash donations, as well as over 5000 items, including:
- Backpacks
- School Supplies
- Tote Bags
- Toiletries
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Art Activities for Children
- Toys for Children
- Crafts for Children
- Baby Supplies, including Diapers & Formula
Some of these goods will be especially helpful with the new school year upon us. We are particularly excited to be able to provide brand new school backpacks and supplies to the most vulnerable, the children.
Countless organizations require help and assistance across the world. We hope that our small contribution to one organization will help alleviate at least some burden and stress for those we can help. The thought process for all employees at Calsak Corporation when beginning this endeavor, was to be able to affect change in at least one person’s life, and through the support and generosity from our partners, we were able to complete that objective, for which we are eternally grateful.
Calsak Corporation would like to thank all those that donated goods for this great cause. We would also like to thank Daniel Rodriguez, owner of “DDS” Direct Delivery Service, who personally donated his time and resources to deliver all the goods to Rainbow Services. Finally, we would like to thank our committee chairs, Gracie Asaro, Ann Briody, and Corita Francisco, who spearheaded and managed this drive for Calsak. Without everyone’s generosity of their time, money and goods, none of this would have been possible.
