SBC is a copolymer primarily of Styrene and Butadiene. Butadiene’s inherent flexural and impact strength properties, mixed with Styrene’s naturally clarified properties, combine to produce a plastic compound that is highly transparent, has high gloss, and excellent bend and flex properties. Common uses for SBC are in rigid and flexible packaging, toys, clothes hangers, medical applications, household appliances, and in hinged applications.
